Guillermo Naranjo to remain at the helm of Team Greece for at least another year
Athens, Greece, February 21, 2020. After two successful years at the helm of the women’s national team of Greece, the Spanish coach Guillermo Naranjo Hernandez has agreed to extend his contract with the Hellenic Volleyball Federation for at least another 12 months.
Earlier this week, Guillermo Naranjo had a productive meeting with the President of the Greek Federation, Mr Georgios Karampetsos, and it only took a few minutes to make his mind about finding an agreement.
Naranjo Hernandez has delivered a truly impressive job with the team. One of the most important achievements was to make sure Greece would celebrate their return to EuroVolley for the first time in 18 years, achieving a remarkable 14th place in the 2019 edition where they reached the 8th Finals, losing to a well-established elite team such as the Netherlands.
