Greece cruised past Norway with remarkable ease.

Even when coach Naranjo brought on his subs for the third set, Greece found the way to turn the score around and seal the win.

Greece retain absolutely perfect record after five matches, at the top of the pool standings without having dropped a single set so far in the competition.

Evangelia Merteki with 14 points and Olga Strantzali with 12 (including 3 aces each) lead Greece’s scoring. Captain Ragni Steen Knudsen scores 11 for Norway.

More than 1000 fans fill Markopoulo Municipal Sports Centre to watch the game, as hundreds more fail to gain entry in the already packed venue.

Celebrations in a truly Greek manner - the girls and their coaches break out their sirtaki moves.

“I am proud for this team and the players that I called and played so well. In a very short time we achieved so many important things. The fans got the chance to see what we have done and hailed our efforts,” Guillermo Naranjo, coach of team Greece.

“Congratulations to Greece. They played better. We are on a new starting point and have a long way to go to reach a higher level,” Matt Van Wezel, coach of team Norway.
